Not enemies? Anyways, I decided to use dAmuro again since I haven't in a long time. Just felt like using a different digital program for once. X3 Waddle Dee and Kirby are much too cute to be foes and I think the only thing that is making their fate like this is King Dedede. If King Dedede didn't have the Waddle Dees as servants, I totally see them being very close buddies.

(PS: I am very aware that King Dedede and even Waddle Dee have joined sides with Kirby.

Actually in Kirby 64 before King Dedede joined Kirby on his quest to save Ripple Star, Waddle Dee was encouraging Dedede to come and join them and I believe that is evidence that Waddle Dee likes Kirby to an certain degree!

You raise up a good point! Kirby and Waddle Dee(s) are pretty innocent, and as such, lack a meanbone, so almost everytime they get into a fight, it's because they're forced to and wished they didn't have to.

Kirby and The Forgotten Land turned the Waddle Dees into his helpers (which is a start), but it could have been because of the bigger threat. I really hope the series moving forward lets them just be comrades 'cause at this point, even many of Kirby's enemies became his friends or help in his adventures from time to time, making the little fellas being antagonistic to the pink puffball feel just like a tradition at this point.
